Dave Strobel put together sheets that can be used while analyzing a technique.  One can start by looking at a particular technique in terms of Power, Stances, Blocks/Parries, Weapons, Targets, Zones and the principles being taught.  Attacking Mace was use as an example technique for the class.  Following the examination of a 'technique breakdown', the class implemented the Equation Formula to  discover ways a technique can be varied and modified.
